Marion Charles Payton was born January 26, 1960, at Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Marion and Carol Kutz Payton. Chuck graduated from the Anamosa schools in 1980. He served one enlistment in the United States Navy. Chuck was employed at the Swiss Valley Cheese Plant in Hopkinton and later at Sheller Globe in Iowa City. He has made Cedar Rapids and Hiawatha his home for the past 10 years. Chuck was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by 2 children, Ben and Maria, 3 grandchildren, Sally, Christopher and Angelina, his siblings, Michael (Ann) Payton, Mary Sue (Phil) Wood, Martin Payton, Matthew (Shelley) Payton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Marshall.
Military Honors will be accorded 10:00 on Monday July 7, 2025, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa where friends can gather after 9:30
