Marisa Cantu, 44, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Mission Medical Center.

She was born on August 13, 1980, in Fresno, California, to Eloy Cantu and Martha Alicia

Salinas. Marisa was a deeply devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. Above all, she

was a family-oriented soul whose love for her family knew no bounds. Her selflessness was

unmatched, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her family was her heart, and she

cherished each moment with them.

Marisa was also a woman of great faith, finding strength in her religious beliefs, which guided

her through life. She took great joy in watching her beloved San Francisco 49ers, always

cheering them on with passion. In her free time, Marisa loved tending to her garden, where she

found peace and joy in nurturing her plants and watching them grow.

She is preceded in death by her dear grandfather, Aurelio Salinas. Marisa leaves behind her five

children: Jesus Ruben Rios, Carlos Gonzalez, Maximiliano de la Fuente, Jeremy Paul Mares, and

Mike Anthony Gutierrez, as well as her two beloved grandchildren, Aiden Christopher Rios and

Ethan Alexander Rios. She is also survived by her loving parents, Eloy and Martha Alicia

Salinas, and her seven siblings: Daniela Cantu, Lizandro Cantu, Yanira Cantu, Yadira Cantu,

Eloy Cantu, Perla Cantu, and Andrea Cantu.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at

Flores Funeral Home in Mission, Texas. Cremation will follow. The family would like to extend

their heartfelt gratitude to Flores Funeral Home for their compassionate support and care during

this incredibly difficult time.

Marisa's memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved, and her selfless spirit will be

deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
