Margie C. Allen, a beloved mother, grandmother, and pillar of her community, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, in Berlin, Maryland, at the age of 95.

Born Margie Lee Coon on October 20, 1929, in Scaggsville, Maryland, she was the eldest daughter of Harold Thomas Coon and Celeste Elizabeth Coon. Margie built a life rich in dedication and creativity. She was a valued employee at Citizens National Bank and later channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into owning and operating Margie's Candle Shop in Laurel, Maryland, where her craftsmanship brought joy to many.

Margie was a woman of many talents, with a particular passion for painting and quilting. Her artistic endeavors were a testament to her vibrant spirit and meticulous eye. Above all, she was a devoted family woman. Margie was the proud mother of her sons, Stanley Allen Jr., Martin Lee Allen and his wife Sherry, and Robert Blair Allen and his wife Lisa.

Her legacy extends through generations, as she leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Margie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley Ellsworth Allen Sr. her son, Stanley Allen Jr., and her grandsons, Anthony Allen and Martin Allen Jr. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.

A service to celebrate Margie's life will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. 313 Talbot Ave., Laurel, MD, on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM
