Marjorie Carol Baird, age 80 of Hurdland, MO, passed away Monday, July 14, 2025, in Hurdland, MO. She was born June 9, 1945 in Colorado the daughter of Samuel Jackson and Nadine Carol Snyder Bachman. She was united in marriage to Lester Baird in Iowa and he preceded her in death.
Marjorie received her education in Green Castle, MO. Marjorie was loved by so many. She had no biological grandchildren but so many that called her granny and so many that called her aunt Margie. She loved her western movies and her Tyler Perry Madea comedies. She loved being with her family and friends. She enjoyed BBQs, cookouts and camping. She also enjoyed going out with the gang and having a soda and listening to some karaoke in Green Castle. She loved her birds and her dog cocoa and loved nature and life its self. She loved watching movies and being with family.
Surviving are two children, Trever Hopper of Kirksville, MO and Gena Hopper of Princeton, MO, six brothers Sam, Larry, Paul, Bill, Jim and Earl Bachman, one sister Connie Fitzwater, and several nieces and nephews. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers.
Marjorie wishes were to be cremated and services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
Memorials are suggested to the Family to be designated later. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Edina, Mo 63537.
