Of Deposit, NY
Marjorie "Margie" Lou Cornwell, 84, of Deposit, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Lourdes – Guthrie Hospital in Binghamton, NY.
Margie was born April 15, 1941, in Walton, NY to Albert & Zana Reynolds of Trout Creek, NY. She attended Walton High School until she graduated. Two years after graduation she married Raymond Cornwell of Deposit, NY. Whom she shared 43 years of marriage.
Ray & Margie purchased a house in Deposit, NY where they spent 40 plus years together. Raymond passed away on July 15, 2006.
Margie was always proud of her flower gardens. She always had a special love of children and helped raise many over the years. She was dedicated to creating a loving home for her family.
She is survived by her two children Christine "Tina" Cornwell-Strong (Richard) and Raymond Cornwell (Bobbi Jo); grandchildren Timothy Cornwell, Connor Cornwell, and Janai Cornwell; great grandchildren Payton Cornwell; brothers and sisters Joe Reynolds, Gene Beardslee, Ed Reynolds, Sue Reynolds, and Dawn Reynolds (Colvard); sister-in-law Shirley Reynolds; numerous nieces, nephews who she adored.
She was predeceased by her husband Raymond; parents Albert & Zana (Beardslee) Reynolds; brothers Timothy Reynolds, Richard Reynolds, Glenn Reynolds, sisters-in-law Phylis Reynolds, and Joan Beardslee.
A private graveside service will be held in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Deposit, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
