Marjorie "Marge" A. Florence, 86, of Woodbridge, VA, passed away on August 14, 2022.
Marge was born and raised in Donora, PA to Triphenia and Colonel Watson on June 8,1936. She graduated from Donora High School as Commencement Speaker in 1955. After graduating from high school, she attended Howard University where she received her Bachelors of Arts in English and began her life-long passion of teaching and guiding young people. While attending Howard University she met and married the love of her life, Raymond Clifford Florence Jr. on July 28, 1960. They shared nearly fifty years together until his passing in 2008.
In keeping with her quest for knowledge, she obtained her Masters of Art in Education, from Virginia Tech. Although she had taught at other schools, Woodbridge Senior High was her heart and soul until retiring in 1999. She continued to educate, mentor, and inspire countless family and friends until her transition to her heavenly home.
As much as Marge loved teaching, she also loved Pepsi, politics, traveling, of course the family dog Bo and her greatest love of all, her Heavenly Father. She would often be heard singing and humming spirituals throughout the day.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her Parents Triphenia and Colonel Watson; Husband, Raymond Clifford Florence, Jr.; Sisters: Ruth Watson, Rose Marie Reid, Adeline Hall, Gladys Jane Farr, Elisha Benford; Brothers: Roosevelt Watson, Walter Watson, Curneal Watson, Thomas L. Watson; and Loving Niece, Linda Jane Farr.

(Tony) Florence; Woodbridge, VA; granddaughter, Kristin Marie Huff (Shawn) Woodbridge, VA; grandson, Alexander Michael Gonzalez Woodbridge, VA; Great-Grandchildren, Evelyn Regina Huff and Rowan Ezra Huff, Lorton, VA; Surrogate Mother and/or Grandmother to: Stephanie Marie and Dakara Reid, Deborah Ann (Debbie) Simms, Elizabeth (Liz) Rodgers, Daryl Jackson, Kelvin Benford and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Marge continued to give of herself to all who needed her. Her love for God was shown in her love for all Gods children.
"Take your rest, take your rest! Weep not - weep not, She is not dead; Shes resting in the bosom of Jesus."
