Mark Lee Armstrong, 68, of Kingsport, TN passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Mark always sought out opportunities to share lifelong lessons with those around him. He enjoyed his career in construction over the years, starting with new builds with Armstrong Construction and later on his career working in renovations. In his youth Mark enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing, shooting skeet, and hunting wildflowers. Throughout his life he loved to garden and supported the Boy Scouts of America in many roles including scoutmaster. He loved attending Fun Fest, especially the parade, the Appalachian Fair and going to the beach. Mark supported various projects over the years and loved a good VBS set. He enjoyed working with his daughter and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and June Armstrong; and brother, Kim Armstrong.
Mark is survived by April Hite and husband, Wesley and their two children, Leighanna and Eli, and Courtney Bridwell.
The family will receive friends from 5-6:30 pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The memorial service will follow at 6:30 pm with Pastor Bradford Jones officiating.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the coming months at Mark’s request to include a thanksgiving style meal including deviled eggs and Food City birthday cake.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camp Bays Mountain, Holston Conference, www.campbaysmountain.com.
