Mark Patrick Belcastro, age 60, passed away at his home in Sterling Heights, MI, on Wednesday, June, 11 2025. He was a loving son, brother, father, uncle and friend.
Mark was born on August 7, 1964, in Detroit, MI to John and Shirley Belcastro. He was a spiritual man and lead his life through faith. Mark was a member at Fellowship Chapel in Sterling Heights and spent much of his time reading scripture. Mark loved nothing more than his family, close friends, and his late dog, Teddy.
Mark graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1982. He went on to join the Detroit Police Department and later became a Sergeant at the 5th precinct. "Buck" received awards for his excellent marksmanship and was commended several times for meritorious service. After retirement, Mark went on to obtain his real estate license. He was always very passionate about his work.
Mark grew up with a tight group of buddies that he loved bowling and playing baseball with. Mark continued his passion for bowling by being on multiple leagues throughout the years and receiving numerous 300 rings. He enjoyed family BBQs and playing bocce ball with his three brothers. Mark was an avid deer hunter, loved to watch Adam Sandler comedies, and went crazy for anything and everything Detroit sports.
Mark is preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Shirley Belcastro; brother, Jay Belcastro; sister-in-law, Beverly Belcastro; and his nephews, David and Anthony Belcastro.
He is survived by loving family and friends: Krystal (Adam) Belcastro, Aimee (Chad - Aubree, Alex, Austin) Bishop, Mike (Karen) Belcastro, Dave Belcastro, Katie (Anthony - Gabriella, Giovanni) Gallina.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, in metro-Detroit, MI. More details with time and address to come.
