Mark Jacques, born April 11, 1960, in Cohoes, NY, was called home on June 27, 2025.
Born and educated in Cohoes, he was the son of the late Charles and Jeanne (Evertsen) Jacques Sr. He was a long-time resident of the city of Cohoes before moving to Chazy Lake, NY in the early 90's. Mark enjoyed spending most of his time at the Lyon Mountain Fire Department helping when needed.
Mark is survived by his brothers; Charles Jacques Jr., Cohoes NY, Scott (Kristine) Jacques of Gansevoort, NY, and Brian (Tracie) Jacques of Elmira NY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and his special friends Sabrina and Trevor who were always there for him.
Mark was always full of jokes, always had a smile on his face, and a nickname to hand out to the people he cared about. He was the first in line to help, or offer support. No matter who you were, you were always treated like family.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 13th at 1:00pm at the American Legion in Cohoes NY, an additional celebration of life will be held Sunday August 3rd in Chazy Lake, additional details to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution in Mark's memory to the Lyon Mountain Volunteer Fire Department, 9 Firehouse Lane, Lyon Mountain NY 12952
Arrangements were entrusted to R.W. Walker Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
