We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Marshall Stephen Toro, born February 26, 2003, and taken too soon on July 15, 2025. He brought us incredible happiness and love. We will remember him for his goofy sense of humor, his caring and thoughtful nature, his love and affection, his wealth of knowledge, and his bravery. He showed a passion for equality, animal rescue, music, art, film and technology. He had overcome unimaginable health obstacles with grace and perseverance. Before his passing he was experiencing his best life at San Francisco State University studying computer science and pledging Alpha Kappa Psi. Marshall was an inspiration to everybody who knew him, leaving such a profound impression on his loved ones that he will live on through them. He was a loving son, brother, dog dad, and friend. He has an extended family who he means the world to, including his grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles and dogs. He will forever be in our hearts and minds, and we hope to live in a way that honors his goodness.
If you would like to honor him, please consider a donation to Shelter of Hope https://shelterhopepetshop.org/donate/ Children's Hospital of Los Angeles https://www.chla.org/ways-help or register with the United Network for Organ Sharing https://unos.org/
