Martha Rose Noah Mayton, 86, of Roxboro passed away March 17, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Mayton was born on February 22, 1939, to the late Garland Haywood Noah and Nannie Teasley Noah in Durham, North Carolina.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ardie Lee Mayton, Jr.; her daughter, Shelia Jo Parnell; and sister, Betty Lou McDonald.
Mrs. Mayton is survived by her son, Danny Mayton and wife Cheryl of Timberlake, NC; daughter, Pamela Rose Mayton of Aurora, NC; brother, Jerry Ray Noah and wife Pam of Bahama, NC; sister, Ella Mae Harmon of Timberlake, NC; 6 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren.
Mrs. Mayton retired from Northern Telecom and enjoyed traveling with friends and family. She was an avid Duke Basketball fan, -always cheering on her beloved Blue Devils. She had many hobbies, but one of her favorites was crappie fishing with a cane pole. In her spare time, she also enjoyed watching WWE wrestling.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home Chapel.
Officiating will be Pastor Scott Gray and Brother Randy Youmans.
Interment will follow at Ellis Chapel UMC in Bahama, N.C.
Flowers are acceptable but you can also donate to the N.C. Special Olympics in honor of Brooke Mayton.
