Martha Raffaele Obituary
Martha Louise (Rossi) Raffaele, age 89 of Shaler Township on January 20, 2025. Wife of Guy C. Raffaele. Mother of Anita Schorr (Thomas) and Jenifer Swab (Raymond). Grandmother of Timothy, Katie, Marie, Nicholas, and Jessica. Sister of Arthur G. Rossi, and the late John Rossi, Henry J. Rossi, Mary Ann Campbell, and Richard Rossi.
Louise grew up in Penn Hills and met the love of her life when Guy offered her and her girlfriend a seat at their table at the crowded Danceland in West View. They danced the night away and the rest is history. Louise held various jobs throughout her younger life as a bookkeeper, including Kem Steel, Fairmont Foods, A. & B. Smith Company, and she also occasionally waited tables.
Guy and Louise were married 65 years. Louise loved to play bingo at the local churches and fire departments, playing the slot machines at any casino, shopping - but most of all, Louise loved her Family who always came first.
Louise was blessed with 5 grandchildren, the oldest being 26 and the quadruplets who are now 23. Louise and Guy immersed themselves into helping with their five grandchildren and oh my goodness, Louise ADORED them, bragging to anyone and everyone who would listen. Her Family is going to miss her.
Visitation Thursday January 23rd from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw.
Funeral Mass Friday the 24th at 10 AM at St. Matthew Parish, St. Bonaventure Church. Glenshaw. A procession to Mt. Royal Cemetery will follow with final prayers in the Mausoleum.
In lieu of lowers the family suggests memorials to Louise's longtime charitable organizations: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA).
