It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Martha Jo Breeden Riddle on April 4, 2025, at the age of 85. Jo was born in Jefferson City, TN to Thomas Walker Breeden and Roberta Patterson Breeden. Jo’s love and devotion to her family was only surpassed by that to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jo was a long-time member at Pleasant Grove Piney Baptist church where she was a Sunday School teacher for the 1st and 2nd grades, a GA and Acteen leader, Vacation Bible School teacher, and Youth ministry leader. She later attended Paw Paw Hollow Baptist church where she had many friends and family. Jo worked as the head of accounts receivable at the Merita Bread company for 53 years. Jo was known for her kindness, her creativity, her ability to get things done no matter what the odds, and her love for her family and community. Jo was preceded in death by her mother and father, Tom and Roberta Breeden, her brothers Frank Breeden and Darryl Breeden, and her husband Harold Riddle.  She is survived by: son David Riddle, daughter Kristy Riddle, grandson Jesse Riddle, sister Pat Cox, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Jo’s name, or any charitable organization of your choice.
