Martha "Ann" Ward, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed from this life on June 13, 2025 at the age of 79. Her son was by her side at the Alcoa Pines long term care home in Benton, AR. at her passing.
Born on June 30th 1945 in Rover, Yell County, AR. Ann was the daughter of Edd Reeves and Bertha Hall Reeves. She grew up in Rover and graduated from Plainview-Rover High School in 1963.
Throughout her life, Ann was a source of unwavering love, strength, and guidance to her family and friends. She married David Earl Ward on June 30th, 1964, and together they built a life with love and cherished memories. They were both devout Christians and lived their life as a example to others with kindness in their hearts. Together they raised two children Lisa Ann Ward and David Earl Ward Jr. who will forever be grateful for their love and support.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Ward; daughter, Lisa Ward; sisters, Grace Chadwick, Dorothy Smith; and brother, Lonnie Reeves.
Ann had a passion for Christian music, genealogy, and computer graphics editing, which she enjoyed with great enthusiasm. She loved the beauty of nature, and found joy in the changing of the seasons each year. She loved to laugh and have long talks with family and friends.
In addition to her son, Ann is survived by her daughter-in-law, Angela Ward; two grandchildren, Colton Jarred Ward and Shelby Rose Ward; and many relatives and friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
Graveside service at 10;00 am Friday, June 20, 2025 at New Bethel Cemetery.
