Marvel Christenson, 92, of Plaza, met her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at a Minot assisted living center. Visitation: Friday, June 20, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. at Langhans Funeral Home, Parshall Family and Friends Prayer Service: Friday, June 20, 2025, at 7 p.m. at Langhans Funeral Home, Parshall Funeral: Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Lucky Mound Lutheran Church, rural Parshall Interment: Lucky Mound Lutheran Cemetery, rural Parshall In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society (donate.cancer.org) to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (themmrf.org), or to the donor's choice. ***************************** Marvel Martha Christenson met her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 8, 2025. She was born the middle child of Herman and Olga (Hauff) Schenfisch on October 1, 1932. She attended Makoti High School and graduated in 1950. Marvel married Clayton Huus on her 18th birthday. They lived on a farm southwest of Makoti and had two sons, Robert and James. Clayton passed away in 1961. She married Raymond Christenson on June 11, 1962, and they later added Roger, Janis, and Julie to the family. They raised the family on the farm south of Plaza. Ray passed away in 2014. Marvel was a devoted wife and mother who always enjoyed working on the farm. She drove truck and baked countless buns. Cooking and baking were her favorite ways to serve her family. She raised a big garden every summer and loved riding her bike, reading, and sewing. Marvel lived on the farm until January 2022, when she moved to Edgewood Vista in Minot. She was a member of Lucky Mound Lutheran Church and active in the Ladies' Aid. She was also a faithful member of the Homemakers Club at the local and county level. In her later years, she enjoyed attending the Senior Centers in Parshall, Plaza, and Makoti, in addition to the local quilting group. Marvel was preceded in death by her husbands; son, Robert; parents; siblings and their spouses, Gloria (Herb) Johansen, Harold Schenfisch, Adella (Darold) Petersen, Wilma (Curt) Wagner, Helmet Schenfisch; and brother-in-law, Kent Leader. Her children survive Marvel, James (Lori) Huus, Roger (Kari) Christenson, Janis (Jim) Keller, Julie (Dan) Altenbernd; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Huus; grandchildren, Denise (Jason) Diffely, Chris (Dar) Huus, Stephanie Huus, Rachel (Austin) Newman, Brooke (Shane) Locken, Dustin (Larissa) Huus, Madison (Drew) Rodgers, Regan (Kyle) Aasand, Lincoln (Kristen) Christenson, Aaron (Jalissa) Keller, Tim Keller, Valerie (Michael) Tweiten, Jayci Altenbernd, Zoe Altenbernd, and Ray Altenbernd; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Noelle Diffely; Violet Huus; Jocelynn Newman; Kia (Fiancé Talon), Dylan, and Easton Locken; Brady and Alyanna Huus; Reed Rodgers; Finn Aasand; and Macklin Keller; sister, Sharon Leader; and sisters-in-law, Luella Schenfisch and Bonnie Schenfisch. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society (donate.cancer.org) to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (themmrf.org), or to the donor's choice.
