Marvin (Pee Wee) Walker was born September 24, 1941, in KC, MO, to Morris Andrew and Philomena (Berger) Walker.

He married Beverly Ann Proffitt of Rural Richmond on July 15, 1961. She preceded him in death on May 7, 2017. He was also preceded in death by his son Rodney Wayne Walker on January 29, 2022.

Survivors include his daughter, Leann Jones of Liberty, MO. Seven grandchildren, Lanie Jones of Liberty Missouri, Spencer Crow and Brandy of Kearney Missouri, Justin Walker of Excelsior Springs Missouri. Logan Pulse of Polo Missouri, Lauren and Antwoine Brown of KC Missouri, Deven and Samantha Walker of Richmond Missouri, Camille Cook of Excelsior Springs Missouri and 15 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and son, Marvin was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Walker and wife LaWanda, Donald Walker, and his sister Better Rogers with husband Buford Rogers.

Marvin worked at the Allis Chalmers Plant in Independence Missouri for 37 years. He retired to fish and garden but became bored with that and decided to go to work with his son in construction.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Hospital for Children. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.

Visitation with memorial services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., with services to follow at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment will be in South Point Cemetery, Orrick. Please remember to share your memories of Pee Wee with the family by visiting www.thurmanfuneralhome.com.
