Mary Edra Braden, 96, of Columbus, Ohio formerly of Martins Ferry passed away Friday, July 4, 2025, at the home of her daughter surrounded by her family. She was born October 18, 1928, in Martins Ferry, the daughter of the late Carl and Anna May (Boring) Cruise.
Mary retired from the former Wheeling Stamping Company as a Laborer. She adored her family and was deeply loved by all who knew her. Her warmth, kindness and unwavering support were constants in the lives of those fortunate enough to call her friend. Her joyful spirit and zest for life left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Willard Eiler, second husband, John G. Braden, grandson, Joshua Bell, son in laws, Ronald Fisher and John Nieman, siblings, Mildred Cruise, Henry and George Kuhn, Bud and Carl Cruise, Ruth Haines, Salley Bell, and Stinie Platt.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Darlene Fisher of Columbus, Nancy Nieman of Martins Ferry and John Braden of Thornville, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great grandchildren complete her family.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935. Funeral service will be Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Leonard Payne officiating, burial to follow at Holly Memorial Garden in Pleasant Grove.
