Mary Susan Bridges, age 70, of Clarksville, TN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Tennova Healthcare Clarksville. She was born on December 7, 1954, in Nashville, TN, the daughter of the late Herbert Wright and Helen Louise Swafford Wright.
Susan spent her career in Human Resources, but her greatest joy was found in caring for her family and serving others. She was a devoted member of Ft. Donelson Pentecostal Church of God and lived her faith through her kindness and generosity.
Gifted with a creative touch, Susan loved making beautiful things—wreaths, ornaments, keepsakes, and anything her imagination could bring to life. If she saw it, she could make it, and she poured her heart into every creation. She was also a strong and protective mother, never hesitating to stand up for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her love for them was fierce, unwavering, and unconditional.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Bessie Anne Brown.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Scott Bridges; her children, Jennifer Lynn Hendren (Anthony) and Gregory Scott Bridges (Kayla); grandchildren, Gracey Fiammetta, Nathanial Bridges (Brittney), Marianna Bridges, Harley Bridges, and Savannah Bridges; great-grandchildren, James Raylan Gream, James Lee Bridges, and Koltyn Bridges; and siblings, Jacquline Vickers, Herbert Finis Wright (Debra), and Sherron Louise Archuletta.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2025 at Ft. Donelson Pentecostal Church of God. Bro. Brian Glande will officiate, and burial will follow in Grace Gardens. Pallbearers will be Nathan Bridges, Anthony Hendren, Harley Bridges, James Raylan Gream, Gregory Scott Bridges, and Isaac Glande.
