Amethyst Rose Nichols, a beloved infant, peacefully departed this world on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the tender age of one month and one day. Born in New Albany, Indiana, on a sunny Saturday, September 27, 2025, Amethyst brought immeasurable joy and love into the lives of her family during her brief time with them.
Amethyst resided with her family in New Albany, Indiana, where her presence was a cherished gift to those who loved her. She is survived by her devoted mother, Abigail Leigh Nichols, and father, Cody Joe Watson, both of New Albany. Amethyst was a beloved sister to Jayda Watson, Jaydan Watson, Makenly Payne, Cody Watson Jr., Arabella Nichols and Emery Nichols. Her family and friends will forever hold her memory dear in their hearts.
To honor Amethyst Rose Nichols, a visitation will be held at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172), on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Loved ones are invited to gather and offer their respects during this time. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at the same location on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 4:00 pm, where family and friends will come together to celebrate the brief yet impactful life of Amethyst.
