Mrs. Mary Nell Bunn White Dixon, age 90 of Mount Airy passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mount Airy surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Dixon was born on February 12, 1934, in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Clarence and Fannie Sue Burnette Bunn. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother; sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her daughters, Lora Cain; Sarah Sue Burgess; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy White, Jerry White, Terry White and Lisa, Gray White; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; ten great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jeweline Bunn Pruitt, Sharon Bunn Ward; three brothers, Sharrel Bunn, Ronnie Bunn, Donnie Bunn, Gray Bunn; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Albert Wade White; her second husband, Glenn Allen Dixon; two daughters-in-law, Vivian Parris White, Amy Davis White; and son-in-law, Ron Edwin Cain; and two brothers, Jimmy Gayle Bunn and Rayburn Bunn. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery in Siloam with Reverend Jarred Seal officiating. No formal visitation will be held at this time. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Northern Regional Hospital Skilled Nursing Floor as well as Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, for the loving care provided to Mrs. Dixon. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
