Moving into a new neighborhood, you always wonder what your neighbors will be like. Well we got lucky and had the Perry family next door. As many would know, Danny did not have idle hands. Always out back working on projects, watering the yard, or out on a walk in the park; we enjoyed when our paths would cross and we'd get to have a conversation. We would trade fishing stories and he'd tease about his secret fishing hole, that he wouldn't tell me where, but invited me to go with him there. He also enjoyed telling us stories of his kids and you could see how proud he was of them. The Perry family was also one of the first neighbors to come over and welcome our first son. He will be missed but never forgotten. Every time we hear the chickens, the grinding or sawing of materials for the next repair/project or see the Jeep out and about, we will be reminded of Danny and his family.

I wish I'd been able to spend more time with uncle Danny. Whenever we were able to get together he was always the jokster. He always had a joke to tell, a trick to show, or interesting story to tell me. Either way we were laughing. Lol my mom, his sister Janet, used to tell me stories about growing up with Danny. She looked up to her brothers for sure. There was a time when my mom had to make some pretty tough decisions regarding her health. Money was an issue. She told me that Danny told her she was worth every penny and that was something that stuck with her. Reassuring words from her older brother made her feel so loved and supported. I imagine their heavenly reunion was a sweet one. I am so grateful to know familes can be eternal and we will all be together again.
My prayers for what seems like an impossible comfort are with all those who love him.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Dan. Dan Perry is one most kind people i have ever known. Dan knows how to have a good time and not need any fanfare. I remember Dan and how he was determined to help me get my eagle scout award. He would invite me over to go over things and helped me submit for my project. I remember doing the cycling merit badge with him and a group of neighborhood boys. It was my highlight on the days we would have a ride. He would always have something mischievous up his sleeve or a prank to pull on someone which was always out of fun and never to make anyone feel bad. Dan was like Mcgyver, He could fix anything. Brandon i am so sorry that you Dad has passed, he is one if the good guys!
