Mary Lane Obituary

Mary Ellen Morris Lane - Age 89 of Nashville, TN, passed away October 12, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Edward "Red" Lane, and her son, Robert Lawrence "Larry" Lane.

Mary Ellen was born in Morris Fork, KY, and later moved to Nashville, TN, where she worked for many years as a switchboard operator at Saint Thomas Hospital. Her kind spirit and joyful presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She worshipped at Bellevue Church of Christ and loved to sing and write music that reflected her deep faith.

She is survived by her sons, Eddie (Dana) Lane and Andy (Stephanie) Lane; grandchildren, LeEllen, Erica, and Adam Lane; great-grandchildren, Seth Lane, Penelope Cheyenne Delcambre, and Roman Alexander Delcambre; and her sister, Jane Baker of Brookville, IN.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Bellevue Church of Christ, with visitation from 9:00–11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, Garden of Prayer, at 12:30 p.m. Pallbearers will include family and friends.
