Mary Lou Lundenberger, 88, of Bolivar, died Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at her residence following a lengthy illness. Born February 20, 1937 in Strasburg, she was a daughter of the late Conrad and Katherine (Lab) Rieger. She was a homemaker and a member of The Church of the Holy Trinity in Zoar. Mary was a member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association. the WRCA Knife Collectors Club and was a former EMT with the Bolivar Fire Department. She was also volunteer at the Wilderness Center and the Bolivar American Legion. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Lundenberger on August 6, 2019. She is survived by her children Jeffrey (Ed Johnson) Lundenberger of Asbury Park, New Jersey, Melanie (Mike) McDade of Magnolia, Lorrie Lundenberger of Gnadenhutten, Maurice (Mary Jo) Lundenberger of Bolivar and Valerie (Bill) Lusic of Dover, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 2 sisters Alice Haswell of Strasburg, Peggy Ewing of Bolivar and 2 brothers Joe Rieger of Louisville and Tom Rieger of Canton. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son James Lundenberger, a son in law Shawn Arter and 2 brothers John and William Rieger. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday June 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Zoar with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Stephens Cemetery in Bolivar. Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 3 PM at the Lebold-Smith Funeral Home in Bolivar. To share a memory, please visit the funeral homes web site.
