Mary Lee (Miller) Mason, born on December 11, 1934, in Harrison County, IN, passed away on July 9, 2025. The world shines a little less brightly without her compassionate spirit, but her memory will forever be a beacon of love and generosity for those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Mary Lee was a spirited woman who embodied kindness in every aspect of her life. Her love for her family and her two beloved pets, Buster and Bella, was unparalleled, and she always found ways to make them feel special and loved.
Mary Lee was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert Miller and Mary (Smith) Miller. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Sherrill Blackman.
Mary Lee is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Paul Mason of Elizabeth, IN. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children - daughters Theresa Blackman of Elizabeth, IN, Tamara Payne (Tony) of Louisville, KY, and son Paul "Andy" Mason of Elizabeth, IN. Her grandchildren, Mary Walston (Brad) of Laconia, IN and Justin Blackman (Amanda) of Elizabeth, IN, her great-grandchildren- Bailey Walston, Alli Walston, Autumn Blackman-Thompson, Nathan Thompson, Tyler Blackman, Payton Blackman, Evan Blackman, Eli Blackman, and one great-great-granddaughter Tatum Thompson.
Mary Lee dedicated 23 years of her life working as a toll house attendant for the South Harrison Park in Elizabeth, Indiana, before retiring. She also spent many years working at Handy Andy's restaurant. Yet, what mattered most to Mary Lee was her family. Every decision she made, every path she chose, was guided by her unconditional love for her family.
