Mary McClendon Obituary

Mary Angelus McClendon, 71, of Locust Grove, Ga. went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2025.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, cherished for her profound kindness and selflessness.

Born to Charles J. and Angelus T. Fulcher, Mary was a pillar of love and warmth for all who knew her. Her greatest joy came from her family, to whom she was devoted throughout her life. Her husband of 54 years, Ricky McClendon, daughters Michelle (Neil) Whaley and Rachel (Robin) Williams, grandchildren Taylor McClendon, Layla Carpenter, Jayden and Destiny Williams, and her siblings Charles B. Fulcher and Peggy Sorrells survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Angelus Fulcher and her sister, Alice Collum.

Mary's legacy is one of unconditional love and kindness, which will continue to resonate through her family and all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on August 30, 2025, at Southern Cremations & Funerals at EastLawn in McDonough, GA, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.

Mass Intention will be on October 18th @ 5pm at St. Mary Mother of God Catholic Church, Jackson, Ga.

God called Mary's name and she answered. Mary's had a warm spirit she loved and supported her grandchildren at birthdays, sports and school recognitions. No matter sunshine or rain Mary was a bright lighr to Mary. Although she will be missed she has the us all with her warm kind spirit.
