Mary Morris Obituary

Mary F. Morris, age 92, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Belton Regional Medical Center. She worked in multiple industries during her lifetime. Early on, she was a waitress, then joined the printing industry at National Bill of Sales as a typesetter, where she met and married her first husband. After they were married, she worked from home in various ways, but she babysat for several children out of her home. Later, she started a cleaning business where she cleaned vacant apartments. She loved life, family, and friends. She loved music, dancing, and just spending time with those she loved of which there were many.
Mary was preceded in death by three husbands, James E. Amer, Ronnie L. Morris, and Darrell Clay, her parents, George, and Dorthy Collins, one daughter, Mary "Kathy" Knaus, one brother, Lloyd Collins, and two sisters, Mildred "Millie" Funk and Retha Ethridge.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Anita Huston and her husband, Tracy; stepson, James "Mike" Amer and his wife, Shelly; three sisters, Goldie Keenan, Dorthy Eutsler, and Elizabeth "Ann" Hatch; grandchildren, Angela Nguyen and her husband, Vu, Mychelle Blank and Scott Amer; two great-grandchildren, Sam Knaus and Joseph Knaus and many nieces and nephews and extended family members as well. She will be dearly missed by us all.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Park Lawn Chapel located at 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Family will receive friends prior to service times, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Misemer Cemetery in Miller, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
