Mary Gene Ogg (Towne) age 86, of Tallahassee, Florida and formerly of Newaygo Michigan, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, July 7, 2025. Mary Gene was born on March 19, 1939 in Newaygo, Michigan to Eugene and Mary Towne (Aishe) and married Donald Merrill Ogg on October 20, 1956.

Mary Gene was always taking care of others. Whether it was as a waitress, raising 5 children, teaching Sunday school, or as a nurses assistant. She really enjoyed traveling with her family all over the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Also visiting the Bahamas with Don.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening, and canning. She loved being in nature and seeing the wildlife. Her eyes would sparkle when she smiled. She will be missed.

Surviving are her children Gary (Lisa) of Black Hawk, Colorado, Randy of Gainesville Florida, Connie (Alan) Badger of Omaha, Nebraska, Dean of Tallahassee, Florida, Marsha (Mark) of Tallahassee, Florida, 11grandchildren, 5 great-grand children; Brother Ron (Carol) of Ketchikan, Alaska.

The visitation and celebration of life service will be held at White Cloud Church of God on Monday, July 14, 2025. Visitation will be 10 am – 12 pm and the celebration of life service 12 – 1 pm. Crandell Funeral Home is assisting the family.
