Mary Shelby Jean Alford Sinkhorn, 83 of Pineville, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at her home. She was born in Tinsley on July 14, 1942, a daughter of the late Homer Alford, Sr. and Maude Golden Alford Sturgill. Mary was a member of the Pineville Church of God and had been a store clerk and manager at the Methodist Store in Pineville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Sinkhorn; siblings, Alta Reece, Maggie Jones, Jesse Alford, Johnny Alford, Homer Alford, Jr., Bill Alford, Andrew Alford, Estil Alford, and Fannie Centers; brothers-in-law, Billy Ray Sinkhorn and Wesley and Daisy Sinkhorn.

Mary is survived by her son, Anthony and Rosetta Sinkhorn; daughter, Donna and Todd Osborne; grandchildren, Aaron and Kassy Sinkhorn, Brittany and Adam Smith, Dalton and Jennifer Osborne, Ashley Osborne, and Zack Brock; great-grandchildren, Shawn, Luke, Kiley, Sean, Aaliyah, Paige, Koleson, Eason, and Neyland; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Fisher and Rev. Mitchell Partin presiding. Burial will follow at the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens in Pineville with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Sinkhorn Family.
