MIDDLEBURY GIUSEPPE MANNA "Loving husband, father, grandfather and brother" Giuseppe (Joe) Manna, age 84 of Middlebury, passed away peacefully October 26, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Sandra (Mary) (Santillo) Manna. Giuseppe was born September 13, 1941 in Pozzomaggiore, Sardinia, Italy a son of the late Paolo and Costantina (Saccu) Manna. After moving to the United States, Joe worked as a carpenter for his brother at S. Ricco Manna General Contractor and later as a foreman for Carriage Homes. While working as a contractor, he also helped run the family business, Santillo's Greenhouses. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, attending his grandkids' sporting events, and gardening. Joe was considered a jack of all trades, lending a hand to both family and friends. His greatest joy was being surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren. Joe was very proud of his Sardinian heritage. He will be greatly missed by those who are blessed to have known him. Besides his loving wife of 58 years, he leaves behind his children Tina Lubus and her husband Robert of Watertown, Mary D'Occhio and her husband Dione of Thomaston and Joseph Manna and his partner Lisa LeVasseur of Watertown, a brother Peter Manna of Naugatuck, his grandchildren Dionna D'Occhio, Robert Lubus and Nathan Lubus. He was predeceased by his son Paul Manna and his brother Salvatorico Manna. Arrangements: Funeral Thursday October 30, 2025 at 10 AM from Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to Saint John of the Cross Church in Middlebury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family. Calling hours Thursday morning from 8:30 AM to 10 AM. at the funeral home.
