Mary Whitesides Obituary
Mary graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1958. In 1962, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Texas Woman's University, followed by her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1970. She dedicated over 40 years to social work, culminating in her career as a probation officer with the Dallas County Community Supervision and Corrections Department, which she retired from in 2002.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael Whitesides. Surviving are siblings: Betty Pettigrew, Ralph W. Whitesides (Sandy), Celeste Whitesides, and her sister-in-law, Martha Whitesides.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the Tucumcari Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Paws and Claws of Tucumcari

I´m so sorry to get this information. My sincere prayers & deepest condolences to the family. Mary & I talked a lot before she was unable to anymore. She remained the sweet person that she always was. So many good memories of our time/ talks. Rest with GOD my friend
