DURHAM – MaryAnn Galligan Rohrer, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and was a longtime resident of almost 37 years of Durham, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her father, John Galligan; mother, Mary "Anna" Galligan; sister, Joanne Galligan; and her loyal fur baby, Fluffy.
Ms. Rohrer retired as an Executive Assistant at Duke University Hospital. She was an avid gardener and animal lover. She loved to bird watch and enjoyed watching animals play in her yard. Ms. Rohrer also enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Ms. Rohrer is survived by her children, Patti Hall, Scott Rohrer (Christine), Kerry Booth; grandchildren, Justin Hall (Cara), Travis Rohrer (LauraJean), Raymond Hall (Kimberly), Mark Beck (Meghan), Dakota Booth (Carrie); great-grandchildren, Addison, Liam, Aubrey, Rhett, Raven; and several special cousins.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 13th at Clements Funeral Home in Durham. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, February 14th at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery.
