Mary Anne Guyther Robertson, age 89, passed away on July 8, 2025, at her home in Odenton, MD, with loved ones at her bedside. She was born in Washington, DC, on June 18, 1936, the firstborn child to her loving parents, H. Beal and Mary (DiMeglio) Guyther.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Mary Anne's life was filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family.
While Mary Anne had a lifelong career working for the government, most notably her many years at NASA, family was the center of her world.
She found her greatest joy in spending time with her "GRANDS", never missing a chance to celebrate their milestones and achievements.
She was the life of every family party, always ready for a game of Mexican train, a story by the fire, or a laugh on the beach. Her love for horses, the ocean, sewing, her friends, and her unwavering support for her family were constants in a life lived fully and beautifully.
Mary Anne's warm heart, fun-loving spirit, and deep devotion to those she loved will be remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the countless memories made, the stories, and the values she instilled in generations to come. Her family will carry on her legacy of kindness, strength, and resilience.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Robertson, with whom she shared many cherished years, and her stepdaughter, Julie Schweikert. Mary Anne is survived by her children Denise (late husband, Danny) White; William (Mary) Peterson; Joseph (Bridget) Peterson; and Scott Peterson; stepchildren Brian (Marty) Robertson; Wayne (Kim) Robertson; Kevin (Stephanie) Robertson; 14 grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren; and 4 great-great- grandchildren; her brother, Henry Guyther, and sister, Kathleen (Dennis) Malcher.
Please join the family in celebrating Mary Anne's life. A viewing will be held at Lasting Tributes, Cremation, and Funeral Care (814 Bestgate Rd., Annapolis, MD 21401) on Monday, July 14, 2025 from 6 - 8 PM. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Saint Joseph Catholic Church (1283 Odenton Rd., Odenton, MD 21113) on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 10 AM.

Loved Mary Anne we had many fond memories.
I cut her hair for a long time back in the 80s and 90s.
Many family gatherings and in 2018 I spent a wonderful weekend sewing as she helped me make my first quilt for my granddaughter.
She was such a pleasure to be with. Such a giving heart, she will be missed. She is now reunited with all her loved ones in heaven. Praise Jesus!
