Maude R. Kirby, 73 of Marietta passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Harmar Place. She was born November 24, 1951 in Parkersburg a daughter of William Richards and Dolly Sprouse Richards.
Maude was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and Washington State Community College and worked as a LPN at Judson Rehab Center. She had lived in Cleveland before moving back to Marietta. She dearly loved her grandkids.
Maude is survived by her son Jason Mathew Kirby (Anna) and daughter Stephanie Scarbrough (Freddy); grandchildren: Jason Kirby, Jr., Kayla Miller, Mathew Kirby and Joshua Kirby, Jordan Scarbrough Jadon Scarbrough and Jolene Scarbrough; great grandchildren: Sophia and Ethan Kirby, Ashton and Benjamin Miller. Also Surviving are siblings: Annie Conti, Michelle "Rose" Restina, Dan Richards (Celeste), Albert Richards (Patty), Wayne Richards (Carol) and Sherry Momeni. Also surviving are 12 half-brothers and sisters.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Robert and William Richards and her former husband Basil Kirby.
According to her wishes, she chose cremation and a celebration of her life will be held at Shadow Lake in Miltonsburg, Ohio, on July 26th. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
