Maybelle Rogers, daughter of Al and Edna Blackburn was born October 7, 1929 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed from this life Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at The Waters of Kingsley Shores in Lakeville, Minnesota at 95 years of age.

Maybelle grew up in Des Moines, Iowa and graduated from Roosevelt High School.

Maybelle was united in marriage to Teddy Rogers on August 26, 1951, at the Immanuel United Methodist church in Des Moines and three children blessed this union. Ann, Elaine and Curt.

Maybelle worked many years in the Des Moines Public Schools as Elementary School Library Aid during the school year.

Following Teddy's retirement, they moved to a farm near New Virginia, Iowa in 1993. After the move to the farm, Maybelle's drive to work was much longer. After a significant snowstorm in 1994, Maybelle decided to retire. Maybelle enjoyed living on the small farm and the rural community. They enjoyed their Koi fish pond, taking care of their gardens and being outdoors. Maybelle was also very active in the New Virginia United Methodist Church.

Following Teddy's death, Maybelle moved to Kingsley Shores, Lakeville, Minnesota in December 2021. Maybelle really liked her apartment and the view of the lake out her window. Maybelle participated in many activities at Kingsley Shores including Bingo, Dominos, Rummikub, Skip-Bo, group exercises and most Coffee Socials. When the weather was warm she frequently went to sit outside and enjoy nature. Maybelle made many good friends at Kingsley Shores with other residents and staff.

Those relatives who preceded Maybelle in death were her husband, Teddy Rogers, her daughter, Elaine Schnoebelen, mother Edna Blackburn and father Al Blackburn.

Maybelle leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Ann Rogers of Atlanta, GA, son Curt (Linda) Rogers of Hampton, MN, son-in-law Mike Schnoebelen of Pella, IA, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, as well as other relatives and many friends.
