Melanie Jo Harkness Detwiler, 54, of Paoli, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Salem Crossing Assisted Living Facility in Salem, IN. She was born December 2, 1970, in Paoli, IN to Jimmy Lee Harkness Sr. and Linda Jean Cecil Harkness, both of whom preceded her.
She was also preceded by her brother, Jimmy Lee Harkness Jr.
Melanie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paoli and the Paoli High School Class of 1989.

Cremation was chosen with a Memorial Service to be held at 6:00 PM Friday, July 25, 2025, at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 West Campbell Street, Paoli, IN.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM prior to the Memorial Service on Friday, July 25, 2025.
