Melecio Archuleta, 75 years old, was called to his eternal home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 14, 2025. He was surrounded by his loved ones who will be forever grateful for the time and wonderful memories that were shared.
Melecio (Mel), is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Yolanda Casaus-Archuleta, his 3 daughters Bridget Archuleta and her husband, Juan Hinojos, Mellecia Archuleta and her husband Gary Mink, Jessica Casaus and her husband, Michael Vigil. His 8 grandchildren, Joshua Gutierrez, Adam Gutierrez, Kayla Hinojos, Raven Mazetta, Martin Mendoza, Marcus Mendoza, Peyton Archuleta and Santino Archuleta. His 6 great grandchildren, Ayden Donahey, Isabella Moya, Francisco Romero, Irie Gutierrez, Earth Gutierrez and Sohaila Gutierrez. His sister Eileen Archuleta and his brother Steven Archuleta.
Melecio is preceded in death by his Mother Rita Hinson, His father Melecio Archuleta Sr. and his grandson Matthew Gutierrez.
Mel, aka Sonny back in those days, was a great musician in the 1970s. He was a drummer and singer and a great talent. His love for music was very contagious and his amazing voice will live on in our memories forever. He loved the outdoors. Fishing was his get away and he made sure all his kids knew how to do it too. Going camping and being at a lake or in the mountains was his all time favorite. He was a big Detroit Lions fan and loved taking trips to Laughlin. No Shenanigans Daddy!
He will forever be loved and never forgotten. Per Melecio's request, there are no services to be held.
Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, where an online guest register is available at www.noblin.com
