Melissa almost always had a bright smile, a kind heart and a tender spot for children. She was an advocate for Autism Awareness. Her time here was short, but the light of her spirit will remain with us forever.
Melissa is survived by her children, Brandon K. Ross, Tajae L. Bibbens and Tahlia L. Bibbens; grannddaughter Gianna; parents Diane H. Mumford (Phillip) and Norman E. Haynie; grandparents Jack and Judy Hammell; siblings Nathan R. Haynie (Debbie), Ainsley D. Mumford, and Celeste E. Haynie-Mumford; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and longtime companion Terrance Brown.
There will be a viewing and visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Currie Funeral Home in Kilmarnock, VA. Funeral services will be held at Currie on Thursday, July 3rd at 2:00 pm. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Melissa Diane Haynie, please visit our floral store.
