Melissa Robbins Obituary

Melissa Ann Baker-Robbins, age 51, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 10, 2025 in Joplin, MO. She was born on January 2, 1974, in Enid, OK to her parents Jerry Baker and Pennelope Sue Lyle-Baker. Melissa was a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics and a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering. Stillwater became an important part of her life as she continued at the University as their Editor and Statistic Guide through 2008. After 2008, she broadened her career and was employed as a manager for Brahms in Tulsa. Later she became the general manager of Freddy's in Enid, OK. She moved to Grand Lake area in 2020. Melissa had a love for cooking and caring for plants. Her family and friends were always surrounded with her spirit for love and life. Melissa is survived by her children Jordan Robbins, daughter, Melina Gade, granddaughter Penelope Gade, brother, Wittaker Baker and extended family and friends. Melissa's Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 1:00pm, Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services Chapel, 722 N. 46th St., Grove, OK 74344 with Chaplain Debi Olive officiating. Melissa's service will conclude in the Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson's Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 722 N. 46th St., Grove, OK 74344 with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
