Dennis T. Sudney

Passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, at the age of 90.

Beloved husband of Patricia for 66 wonderful years, after meeting through family. Loving father of David (Cheryl) Sudney, Steven (Pamela) Sudney, Pamela Sudney, and Scott (Sue) Sudney. Proud grandfather of Ashley, Andrew (Aubrey), Stephen (Angela), Abigail (Michael), Nathan (Katie), Alexander (Alexandra), Clark, and Samuel. Cherished great-grandfather of Eleanor, Lyra, and Lainey Rae.

Dennis was born and raised in Hamtramck. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard before beginning his long and dedicated career at Chrysler, where he began at the Dodge Main Plant in Hamtramck and worked for over 30 years before retiring. He also devoted many years of service as a volunteer firefighter in East Detroit and as a member of the city's Traffic Safety Commission.

A talented musician, Dennis performed with an accordion group that traveled extensively and brought joy to audiences far and wide. He shared his passion by teaching local youth to play, inspiring a love of music in the next generation.

Dennis and Pat shared a lifelong love of travel, exploring the world together for 42 years. Their adventures took them to many destinations - with favorite memories from Hawaii, Europe, an Alaskan cruise, and Russia.

Service and community were at the heart of Dennis's life. He and Pat spent many years volunteering as ushers at the Fox Theatre, Gem Theatre, the Macomb Theatre for Performing Arts, and the Michigan State Fair.

A man of many interests, Dennis enjoyed photography and videography, always capturing the meaningful moments that reflected his deep love for family. Above all, Dennis was a devoted family man, deeply grateful for the life and loved ones he cherished.

Memorial Visitation Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00am until time of Memorial Service at 12:00pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. Fifteen Mile, Sterling Heights, MI.
