Mellony Jean Moore (nee Dellefield), 71, of Elyria, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

Mellony was born in Amherst, OH, on April 4, 1954. She graduated from Elyria High School in 1972. She worked in assembly for the Eberhard Manufacturing Company in Strongsville, retiring in 2010.

Mellony loved being a housewife and hosting family and friends. She used her talent of crocheting by creating baby blankets, afghans, toy animals and dolls, then giving them to family, friends and children that needed something special.

Mellony and her family attended the Church of the Open Door in Elyria. She enjoyed cooking for various church gatherings and the Generation House.

Surviving members of Mellony's family include her loving husband of 19 years, Glenn; son Michael A. Spain Jr.; sisters Kathryn Malinowski of Lorain and Sandra Sanders of Grafton; brothers Danny Dellefield of Elyria and Billy Dellefield of Vermilion; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents Robert and Clara Dellefield and brother Jeff Dellefield.
