Melvin Leroy Lowe
Bath, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Melvin Leroy Lowe, age 64, will be held 11:00 am Monday November 4, 2024, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brancie Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at Graniteville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Courtney Palmer, Anthony Palmer, Glenn Palmer, Travis Sanchez, Todd Thomas, and Jerry Storey. Mr. Lowe entered into rest on Wednesday October 30, 2024, at Piedmont Hospital Augusta. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Joyce Wilson Lowe and a son to the late Mr. Donald Woodrow Lowe and the late Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Wood Lowe. Mr. Lowe was a native and lifelong resident of the Aiken area. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Lowe was the owner and operator of Don's Paint and Body in Langley SC since 1976, having 48 years of service. He retired in 2020. He had also ran Don's Paint and Body Wrecker serving for 25 years throughout Aiken county. Mr. Lowe loved football,was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan, watching his favorite NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick, and riding his motorcycles. He was loved by his family and will be missed. Additional survivors include: three sons Donald (Kaitlyn) Melvin Lowe, North Augusta, Robert Dylan Lowe, Langley, and Stephen Andrew Lowe, Langley; and three brothers Anthony Palmer, Bath, Glenn Palmer, Edgefield, and Courtney Palmer, Warrenville. A visitation with the family will take place from 5-7 pm Sunday November 3, 2024, at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175. The family requests that Georgia Bulldog attire be worn at the funeral out of respect to Mr. Lowe. Please sign the online registry at www.colefuneralhomeinc.net.
