Melvin Cleo Pedigo, age 94, of the Rocky Mound Community in Macon County, TN, went home to be with the Lord, July 30, 2025. He was born February 14, 1931 in Macon County, TN to the late Finis I. Pedigo and Nina E. Stinson Pedigo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Elwyn (Shirley) Pedigo and Carl Ray (Loretta) Pedigo; his grandson, Nicholas Crosby; his daughter-in-law, Vicki Pedigo; his brothers-in-law, Bobby Hale, Dennis Luebke, Charles Hale and Raymond Sullivan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Christine Pedigo; his children, Keith Pedigo of Westmoreland, TN, Anita (Richard) Thomas of Hartsville, TN, Donald (Doreen) Pedigo of Clarksville, TN, Alan (Catherine) Pedigo of Knoxville, TN and Mark (Pam) Pedigo of Westmoreland, TN; his grandchildren, Adam Pedigo, Valerie Ritchie, Erin Wilmore, Erin Kastner, Whitney Perez, Wesley Pedigo, Lauren Pedigo, and Blake Pedigo; his sister, Diane Luebke; his 15 great-grandchildren; his three sisters-in-law; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Melvin was a faithful long-time member and deacon of Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired as the manager of Seed Development and Research in the Crops Division at Tennessee Farmers Cooperative after nearly 40 years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in the Signal Corps of the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas.
The funeral service for Mr. Pedigo will be conducted on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 2PM from Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Dean Sircy and Bro. Wesley Pedigo officiating. Interment will follow in the Rocky Mound Church Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, August 1st from 5PM till 8PM at Woodard Funeral Home, and again on Saturday, August 2nd from 10AM till service time at Rocky Mound Church.
In lieu of flowers the family request you make donations to Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church. You can make these at the office of Woodard Funeral Home.
The family has entrusted Woodard Funeral Home with the care of their loved one. "Serving you as we would like to be served."
