Michael Adames Obituary

Michael V. Adames passed away on July 21st, 2025. Michael Adames, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love, and quiet joy. Michael was fortunate to marry his high school sweetheart, with whom he built a life rooted in devotion, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Their love story was a testament to loyalty and enduring connection. For over 30 years, Michael was known in the community as "The Bread Man." He took great pride in his work-rising early each day to provide for his family and serve his customers with dependability and a warm smile. More than anything, Michael loved being "G-Pa" to his grandchildren. Whether cheering from the sidelines or sneaking them treats, his eyes always lit up when they were nearby. In his free time, you could find him in one of a few favorite places: chasing a hole-in-one on the golf course, hooking a bass at the lake, or scouting out the local deer. He loved the open air and made the most of it. When it came time for family gatherings, he proudly took the role of grill master-no other briskets stood a chance when he was at the pit. Michael will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the many lives he touched with his gentle strength and big heart. There will be a graveside service at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 24th, 2025 at Sweetwater Cemetery. Michael Harbour will be officiating service. Survivors are: Wife Lisa Adames, Sons: Michael Justin Adames and wife Ashley of Clyde, Texas, Zachary Tyler Adames and wife Miesha of Sweetwater, Kendal Blake Adames of Sweetwater, Grandchildren: Avery, Blake, Asher, Harper, Raya, Mother: Estella Adames of Sweetwater, 4 Brothers, 1 Sister, Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins Preceded in Death by: Father: Joe Adames Arrangements are under the direction McCoy Funeral Home.
