Michael Thomas Conner was born on April 26, 1965, and went home to be with the Lord on July 3, 2025. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jean Workman Conner, and father, Russell Bryant Conner.
Mike was a man of unwavering faith, a true believer in the Lord whose life reflected the values he carried close to his heart. He believed deeply in the power of prayer, the strength of family, and the importance of loving others as the Lord intended. Mike spoke openly about his faith and lived it quietly through his actions. He was always ready to lend a hand, offer encouragement, and remind those around him to lean on the Lord in both joyful and difficult seasons. His belief wasn’t something he claimed with words alone. It was seen in the way he loved, forgave, and gave selflessly to those around him.
He was a devoted family man who cherished those he loved and made them the center of his world. Alongside his faith and family, Mike had a lifelong passion for racing cars. Whether he was working under the hood, cheering from the stands, or swapping stories with friends at the track, racing was woven into the fabric of who he was. It brought him joy, pride, and friendships that stood the test of time.
He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Austin Conner, two daughters, Amanda Conner and Danica Conner Lunsford with her husband Cheatham Lunsford, and three sons, Zachary Hancock with his wife Rae Hancock, Seth Hancock, and Joseph Ralston. Mike also leaves behind his cherished sisters, Johnnsie Conner Sowder with her husband David Sowder, and Debbie Conner Foote with her husband Randy Foote, along with five beloved grandchildren.
Mike’s faith, kindness, and generosity touched countless lives. He was a steady, reassuring presence and a living example of how to walk through life with grace, loyalty, and an open heart. His warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength will be deeply missed, but the memories, lessons, and love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those blessed to have known him.
