Michael Davis, aged 54, transitioned on January 31, 2025, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, IN.
He was born on June 12, 1970, in Wayne County, MS, to the late Elizabeth L. McFarland and the late Willie C. Henderson.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents and three grandchildren: Kai' Lynn Aniyah Graham, Emoni Milan Young, and Jayden Ahmari Young. His passing has left a profound void in the hearts of his family, riends, and many others whose lives he touched. We encourage everyone to remember him not for how his life ended, but for the way he lived.
Michael is survived by a loving family who will cherish his memories forever. His fiancée, Pamela Harris from Lenoir, Tennessee, remains with him in spirit. He is also survived by four daughters: Ebony Davis (Meridian, MS), Christiana Lacey (Columbus, GA), Myesha Davis (Waynesboro, MS), and Tykra Davis Lenoir, TN), as well as one son, Michael Deshun Davis (Laurel, MS).
Michael's siblings include two sisters: Pamela McLaughlin (Jeimane McLaughlin) from Waynesboro, MS, and Stephanie McFarland (Waynesboro, MS); and three brothers: Travis McFarland (Andrea McFarland) from Heidelberg, MS, Rodderick Davis(Waynesboro, MS) Tyrone Henderson (Valerie Henderson) from Collins, MS, and Jerome Henderson (Samantha Henderson) from Magee, MS.
Michael's legacy is one of love, compassion, and faith. His memory will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, aunts, and uncles who loved him dearly. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the extraordinary life he led and the countless ways he touched our hearts. His absence will be felt deeply by family, friends, and all those whose lives he enriched.
Funeral services will occur Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Turner Funeral Home, with Rev. Willie A. Kinslow officiating. Interment will follow at Waynesboro Cemetery.
