Michael A. Dickens, Sr., age 65, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born September 19, 1960 to the late Dallas Warren Dickens. In addition to his mother, Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Emory and Pearl Warren; his aunts, Billie Ruth Tester, Evelyn Reeves, and Glenda Reeves; lifelong friend, Johnny Triplett; and his beloved dog, Pepper.
Michael was a truck driver for 40 plus years, he was a simple man. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was a kind-hearted person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Michael was also a member of Taylorsville Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 19 years, Heather Dickens, their three daughters, he raised as his own, Samantha Dowell (Brian), Mikaela Carroll (Jake), Mackenzie Carroll (Jacob); one son from previous marriage, Michael Dickens (Christina); one daughter, Ashley Bunting (Dustin); nine grandchildren, Brooke, Maddison, Sophia, Emma, Brynlee, Isabella, Colten, Kaitlin, and Danielle; sister, Kathy Kirsh; cousins, Donna Kerley and Eugene Tester; so many wonderful friends, Corey, Jessica and C.J. Crumley, Danny Kyte, Leon Hathorn, Dickie Smith, Von and Kathy Potter, Dean Fletcher, Glenna Tedrow, and Misty Dickens.
It was his wish to be cremated and no services be held, he will have one last ride home by Corey Crumley and last call by Scott Robinson at a later date.
