Michael Horn Obituary

Michael Stephen Horn, age 84, of Stover, Missouri, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 2, 1940, to William and Marianne (Cotts) Horn.
Michael spent most of his working life as a dedicated truck driver, a career that took him across the country and provided him with countless stories and memories. Despite the long hours on the road, he always made time for what mattered most-his family, his community, and his passions.
He generously gave his time to the Ivy Bend Fire Department, where he served for many years as secretary. Michael was also an avid reader and loved spending time on the lake in his boat. Whether casting a line or enjoying the peaceful water, it was one of his favorite ways to relax. Above all, Michael cherished moments with his loved ones.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anita Shafer Horn; his son, Nathan Walker (Robbin); daughters, Debbie Roberts (Rob), Michele Stachowski (Rich), and Tiffany Wycoff (Michael); his brothers, Christopher "Bruce" Horn and Art Horn (Anne); his sister, Janet Johnson (Jeff); and seven beloved grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Douglas Horn and Jimmy Horn.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home Versailles Chapel.
