Michael (Mike) Anthony Shea, 81, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025. Born on
March 27, 1944 to Murray and Barbara Shea, Mike lived a life filled with love, joy and
faith.
A skilled negotiator, Mike built a career in the corporate world of Mobil Oil. A graduate
of Serra High School in San Mateo, Mike journeyed to Santa Clara University where he
starred in football and earned both his BS and Masters in Business. He joined Mobil
Oil right after graduation where he would go on to have a successful 40 year career.
Mike cared deeply about family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margo, and his
children: Matthew (Matt) Shea, Patrick (Pat) and Kathy Shea, Kerri and James Newman
and Erin and Jason Loving, along with his grandchildren: Jessica, Ethan, Luke, Sarah,
Jack, Matilda, Brooke, Tyler and Austin. He is also survived by his two brothers, Peter
and Chris Shea. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Daniel, with whom
he is now reunited.
Outside of his home and professional life, Mike enjoyed living an active life, spending
time at the beach and being surrounded with friends who he treated like family.
Though he may no longer walk among us, Mike's humor, wisdom and unwavering love
will continue to echo in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
