Michael Sheehy Obituary

Michael Francis Sheehy, age 78 of Dorchester, MA, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the Boston Medical Center. He was born in Dickson, TN on January 12, 1947 to the late Mary Christine Knight Sheehy and William Francis Sheehy. Michael graduated from McEwen High School in 1964 and also attended UT Martin College. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 3 years. Michael attended St. Patrick Catholic church while he lived in McEwen, and continued to faithfully attend church in Doechester. Michael enjoyed fishing, listening to music, dancing, and when he visited his hometown, he loved to attend the Irish Picnic.
Left to cherish his memory is companion, Patrick Smith of Dorchester, MA; sister, Carolyn Hooper (Steven) of McEwen, TN; 4 nephews, Andy Hooper (Kim) of Columbia, TN, Shane Hooper of McEwen, TN, Travis Hooper (Michelle) of McEwen, TN, and Adam Hooper (Robin) of Dickson, TN; and many great nephews and great nieces.
Along with his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph William Sheehy.
A Funeral Mass will be scheduled in August and will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church. The obituary will be updated as the information is available.
