Michael E. Smith, 75, of Harrisonville, Missouri passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, at Carnegie Village Rehab in Belton, Missouri.
Michael was Born October 19, 1950, in Kansas City, Missouri to Ralph and Barbara (Basham) Smith.
He was an avid sports fan who loved watching the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, as well as KU Basketball.
Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Johnson.
Michael cherished and loved his family. He is survived by his daughter Mikalynn Ruiz (Henry), Grandchildren Adara, Amora, and Henry IV. He is also survived by 1 sister Patricia Richardson (Steve), 2 nieces, Nicole Couch (Bob), and Jennifer Johnson, 3 nephews, Patrick Larson (Kara), Michael Larson (Krystal), Jerimiah Johnson, 2 Great Nieces 3 Great Nephews. Michael had formed a special bond with his great niece Natlalee and would often hang out together.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30PM, Saturday November 15, 2025. Sherwood Bible Church 4900 N Norton Ave, Kansas City, MO 64119 In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made to Harvesters Food Pantry.
